Chantilly Patisserie produces high end, handmade dessert products. The current owners, Mel Rumbles and Geoff Yates, have grown the business over 25 years and were looking to retire after a short handover.
Avondale targeted companies with close synergies that could benefit from the acquisition. Through extensive research and marking a considerable amount of interest was generated. After thorough vetting and meetings offers were received.
The ultimate purchaser was Haydens Bakery Ltd, a subsidiary of Real Good Food Plc, a diversified food business consisting of a number of companies. They were looking for a bolt on business to enable them to reach a greater scale within the food service sector.
Avondale ensured the deal completed within five months and that the value and structure was to vendor’s complete satisfaction.
